When the excess lift of the swimming pool is too large, it will affect the filtration accuracy, cause personal injury, overload and overheat, burn out the motor, vaporize and cavitation, and damage the water pump and pipeline system. For the system that has already been operated, check the readings of the vacuum gauge before the pump and the pressure gauge after the pump, and determine the actual working system pressure head. If there are major problems, it is necessary to deal with them as follows:
1) Replace the water pump, and choose the pool water pump with similar lift and flow rate to the actual work.
2) Cut and reduce the outer diameter of the impeller, reduce the rated lift of the pump, and make it close to the actual working lift of the pump.
3) Before the pump starts, close the valve on the outlet pipe of the pump (the valve is located in front of the sand cylinder behind the pump), start the motor, and gradually open the valve after the pump runs smoothly. By controlling the opening size of the outlet valve, the flow of the water pump is reduced, thus reducing the load and calorific value of the water pump.

Design requirements of circulating water pump in specification:
The selection of circulating water pump for swimming pool shall meet the following requirements:
(1) The rated flow rate of the pool water pump should not be less than the calculated circulating water flow rate of the pool water circulating purification treatment system to ensure the required flow rate of the pool water circulating cycle;
(2) The lift of water pump should not be less than the geometric height of water supply, the resistance of circulating purification treatment system equipment and pipeline system and the sum of outflow head required at the water inlet of pool multiplied by the calculated value of safety system of 1.10;
(3) The pool water pump should be a special variable frequency speed regulating pump for swimming pools with high efficiency, energy saving, corrosion resistance and low noise;
(4) The circulating water pump of pressure filter should not be less than 2 sets, and a standby pump should be set to run alternately with the working pump;
(5) The backwashing pump of quartz sand filter should adopt the design of parallel operation of working pump and standby pump of pool water circulating pump, and check and adjust the working parameters of circulating pump according to the flow rate and lift required for backwashing of a single filter.
